Former Fort Dorchester High School standout Keri Emanuel won two events at the recently completed 17-and-under AAU track and field nationals held in Virginia Beach, Va.
Emanuel won the girls long jump with an effort of 19 feet, 8 inches, on her second attempt. She also won the triple jump in 40-10 3/4 to outclass a competitive field. Emanuel, who graduated last spring, also won the triple jump at this year's high school state meet in Lexington.
She has been listed as one of the top 10 track and field athletes in the state.
Former Citadel center Joe Wolfinger recently reached an agreement on his first professional contract with Astrum Levice of the Slovakian Extraliga League. The 7-0 center averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in his only season with the Bulldogs. The University of Washington transfer was one of six Citadel players to appear in all 32 games last season.
