Daniel Island’s Shelby Rogers lost today in the second round of the French Open in Paris.

Rogers, 20, fell to Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro, 6-3, 4-6, 4-6, on Court 4 at Roland Garros. Rogers is currently ranked No. 170 in the world in women’s tennis; Suarez Navarro, 24, is ranked No. 20.

On Sunday, Rogers won her French Open debut by 6-4, 6-4 over Irena Pavlovic of France.
