Cougars hang on to beat East Carolina, 77-73

Canyon Barry scored 27 points and Jarrell Brantley added 14 points to lead College of Charleston past East Carolina, 77-73, Monday night at TD Arena.

The Cougars (6-2) led by double-digits for most of the game, but had to hold off a furious East Carolina (5-4) rally in the end.

Barry, a junior, made 13 of 14 free throws, including four over the final 15 seconds of the game to secure the victory.

Kentrell Barkley led the Pirates with 22 points.

The Cougars will have the rest of the week off until they take on North Greenville Sunday at 3 p.m.
