The College of Charleston rallied against Chattanooga and escaped with an 87-85 double overtime victory Saturday before a crowd of 4,358 at TD Arena.
The Cougars improved to 7-1, 2-0 in the Southern Conference while Chattanooga fell to 2-6, 0-2.
Andrew Lawrence led Charleston with 25 points, but missed the final overtime period with leg cramps. Freshman Anthony Stitt scored 20 points. Trent Wiedeman had 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Antwaine Wiggins had 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Cougars are off until Dec. 14, when Tennessee comes to TD Arena.
