The College of Charleston’s Southern Conference baseball tournament game with Georgia Southern has been postponed until this morning at 10 a.m. at Fluor Field in Greenville.
The game was postponed by torrential rain and lightning in the Greenville area Wednesday night.
If the Cougars defeat Georgia Southern, they would face Furman tonight at 8:30 p.m. The loser of the game will play Elon immediately afterward at Fluor Field.
The game was originally scheduled to start Wednesday night at 8:30 p.m., but a 10:10 p.m. start time was announced after the conclusion of the third game, which was delayed nearly an hour because of the weather. However, impending storms forced the teams to delay the start and the weather did not cease before the midnight curfew time.
Charleston senior pitcher Jake Zokan will start for the Cougars, while the Eagles will counter with Justin Hess.
