CLEMSON -- John Hinson went 5 for 6 with a school record-tying three homers and seven RBIs in Clemson's 22-4 win over USC Upstate at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday night.

The Tigers improved to 24-14, while the Spartans dropped to 13-30. Clemson scored 17 runs in the first four innings and never looked back. The Tigers' 18-run margin of victory was their largest since Clemson defeated Wake Forest 26-1 on May 18, 2006.
