Clemson 8, No. 7 Florida State 4

CLEMSON -- Clemson will play for an Atlantic Division title at 1 p.m. today against Florida State.

Clemson forced a deciding game by defeating the Seminoles, at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

The Tigers (36-19, 17-12 ACC) won the first game of the series Thursday. Florida State (39-15, 18-11 ACC) has not been swept this season.

Tigers starter Scott Weisman pitched six innings Friday, allowing three runs, en route to earning the victory. Weismann allowed three hits, walked four and struck out five.

Weismann was supported by a six-run Clemson third, highlighted by a Kyle Parker two-run single and a three-run double by freshman Richie Shaffer. Florida State starter Brian Busch was relieved after 2 1/3 innings.

Wilson Boyd added a two-run home run in the fifth to make it 8-2 Clemson.

Clemson freshman Dominic Leone will start today for Clemson. If the Tigers win, they'll earn the No. 2 seed in next week's ACC Tournament in Greensboro, N.C.
