COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Brad Miller went 4 for 4 with three RBIs and Clemson beat Maryland 12-8 on Saturday.
The Tigers (30-17, 13-10 ACC) rallied from a 6-4 deficit to take a 2-0 series lead over the Terrapins (16-36, 4-22) and reach the 30-win mark for the 36th season in a row.
John Hinson had his 10th homer of the season for Clemson with three RBIs, while Jeff Schaus also hit his 10th homer, drove in two runs and scored four times.
Alex Frederick (4-1) went five solid innings in relief to get the victory.
Clemson trailed 6-4 after three innings but capitalized on two errors in the sixth to score three times and go up 7-6. Hinson had an RBI single and John Nester had a sacrifice fly, while the go-ahead run scored on an error.
The Tigers overcame 15 runners left on base, seven Terrapins leadoff batters reaching base and five errors.
Clemson and Maryland will play the series finale at 1 p.m. today.
