CLEMSON – Clemson athletic director Terry Don Phillips told TigersNow.com that he was “dismayed” to learn former Clemson quarterback Tribble Reese and his dates from the reality TV show ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ were permitted to lead Saturday’s pre-game Tiger Walk.

“That should have not ever happened,” Phillips said.

Phillips told TigersNow.com Clemson coach Dabo Swinney was “unaware” of Reese’s involvement. The Tiger Walk began under Swinney, a practice in which players and coaches walk through the west end zone parking lot crowd to enter Memorial Stadium several hours prior to games.

Many fans were disappointed Reese was allowed to lead the Tiger walk, especially on Military Appreciation Day at Clemson.
