Former Citadel football player and assistant coach Maurice Drayton has signed with the NFL's Green Bay Packers as an assistant coach.
Drayton reports to work Monday and will serve as a special-teams assistant coach for the Packers, he said Thursday.
Drayton coached the last two seasons with the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.
He is a Berkeley High School graduate and a 1998 graduate of The Citadel, where he coached for nine seasons. He was the Bulldogs' defensive coordinator in 2014 and in 2015, when The Citadel went 9-4 and won the first of two straight Southern Conference titles.
Drayton also has worked at South Carolina State, Coastal Carolina and Southern Miss.
