CLINTON — Presbyterian’s Bud Jeter outdueled Charleston Southern’s Ryan Gunther as the Blue Hose picked up a 2-1 win Friday at PC Baseball Complex.

Kenny Bryant hit his eighth homer for Presbyterian (17-21, 5-8 Big South) for a 1-0 lead in the second inning.

Charleston Southern (15-26, 6-7) tied the score when Chase Shelton singled, stole second base and scored on a double by Walt Quattlebaum.

The Blue Hose went ahead in the sixth when Billy Motroni scored on a double play.

Gabe Grammer closed out the game for his seventh save.

Gunther (0-7) gave up two runs on seven hits while striking out two. Robbie Streett had two hits to extend his hitting streak to nine for CSU.

The teams play at 2 p.m. today.
