GEORGETOWN -- Caramba, owned by Robert Faith and captained by Dale Lackey, captured the 43rd Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament, earning 1,200 points over the two days of the tournament for releasing two blue marlin.

Daymaker, owned by Mark Daniels and captained by Jay Weaver, was second with 700 points after releasing two sailfish (200 points each) and one white marlin (300 points). Game On, owned and captained by Bubba Roof, was third with 600 points for one blue marlin release.

The participants in the tournament released 13 billfish -- six blues, three whites and four sailfish.

In the non-billfish categories, Christy II had the top tuna, a 12.4-pound blackfin; Christy II also had the top wahoo, 63.0 pounds; and Daymaker had the top dolphin, 31.4 pounds.

The tournament was the second event in the five-leg South Carolina Governor's Cup Billfishing Series.

The next event is the Carolina Billfish Classic, which will be fished June 23-26 out of Charleston Harbor Marina, Georgetown Landing and Harbour Town Yacht Basin.
