GEORGETOWN -- Caramba is the leader heading into today's final day of fishing in the 43rd Georgetown Blue Marlin Tournament. Caramba was the first of the 39 participating boats to release a blue marlin Friday, earning 600 points for the release, and has the lead based on time of release.

The tournament is the second event in the five-leg South Carolina Governor's Cup Billfishing Series. Blue marlin releases earn 600 points, white marlin releases are worth 300 points and sailfish releases receive 200 points. All of the 39 boats took Thursday as a lay day, and all 39 will be fishing again today.

Game On, owned by Bubba Roof, is second with 600 points for a blue marlin release and Houdini is third, also with 600 points for a blue marlin release. Game On won the Bohicket Marina Billfish Tournament which opened the 2010 series.

In the non-billfish categories, Christy II has the top wahoo at 18.2 pounds as well as the top tuna at 12.4 pounds. Daymaker leads the dolphin division with a 31.4-pound catch.
