The College of Charleston’s baseball game at Charleston Southern on Wednesday was suspended in the fifth inning because of lightning and heavy rain. The Cougars held a 6-2 lead when the game was halted.

No date has been announced for the game to be resumed. The game was originally scheduled to be played March 21 but postponed because of weather.

Charleston (33-18) has a three-game non-conference series at home against UNC Asheville beginning Friday, while the Buccaneers (18-29) travel to VMI on Friday for a three-game Big South Conference series.
