The Family Circle Cup has pushed the starting time for today's matches back another hour, with the first matches now scheduled to begin at noon.

Earlier today, tournament officials had announced a one-hour delay because of the weather. Matches were originally scheduled to start at 10 a.m.

Family Circle Cup tournament director Bob Moran says their preparations last night should mitigate any weather-related problems.

Tournament staff secured tables and tents in anticipation of overnight wind and rain.

An extra court will be used to help the tournament stay on schedule and Moran said he believes once the rain ends, the clay courts will dry out quickly.
