Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson is expected to make a rehab appearance for the Rome Braves when they play the Charleston RiverDogs on Saturday at Riley Park.
Hudson, a three-time major league all-star, underwent surgery last November to repair a herniated disk in his lower back. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that he will be assigned to the Rome Braves this week for rehabilitation and will likely pitch Saturday. He is expected to be back with the Atlanta club in early May.
The RiverDogs open the season at home Thursday against Rome at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by phone (843) 577-3647 and online at www.riverdogs.com.
