The Charleston Inshore Anglers’ 23rd annual Sheepshead Tournament will be fished Saturday. Registration and captain’s meeting will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at The Stono Breeze at St. John’s Yacht Harbor, located at 2408 Maybank Highway. The entry fee is $30. Prizes will be paid for the top 10 places, with first paying $1,000, and for the top three youth. The 22nd annual Moncks Corner Medical Center Family Open Catfish Tournament will be held Saturday. The early entry fee is $75 per boat and $90 on the morning of the tournament at the William Dennis Boat Landing, across from Gilligan’s in Moncks Corner. The Charleston Slam seventh annual Inshore Fishing Tournament, sponsored by the Coastal Area Chapter of the Mechanical Contractors Association of South Carolina, will be held May 16. The entry fee is $40 plus $15 for the sheepshead category. The Charleston Angler will hold a series of Fly Fishing 201 Schools led by Capts.
