Sheriff's investigators arrest 3 people in connection with Hollywood bank robbery

Rashad Edward Harley

Charleston County sheriff's detectives nabbed two Charleston men in connection with the robbery of First Citizens Bank on Highway 162 in Hollywood on Nov. 28.

They arrested Rashad Edward Harley, 33, of Harbor View Road and Jered Akil Gilliard, 25, of Avon Court, on Thursday on charges of bank robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. Two men jumped the counter at the bank during lunch hour and fled with cash, according to sheriff's officials.

Detectives also identified Jessica Nicole Wigfall, 21, of Turkey Hill on Johns Island as the driver of the getaway car, and officials say she told investigators that she dropped off the men near the bank and waited for their return in exchange for about $50. They arrested her on a charge of accessory after the fact of bank robbery.
