COLUMBIA — South Carolina senators expect to take up a final spending bill that pays $110 million on college maintenance and a long list of other one-time expenses.

Senate action on the bill Wednesday would clear the way for the House to make its final changes to the $6 billion spending plan senators approved last week.

The Legislature’s regular session ends Thursday. That means senators and House members will likely be working on compromise versions of the spending bills next week and have their work done by the time the Legislature returns for an extended session on June 14.
