JAMES ISLAND -- The Charleston County Sheriff's Office has released video of a man robbing the Kangaroo convenience store Tuesday on Folly Road.

The robber came inside about 11:10 p.m., used his left hand to point a small, silver-colored handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the register, a police report said. It said the clerk handed over the money, and the man made him show him if there was any more cash under the drawer.

The robber was described as black, age 18 to 30 with an athletic build, about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He wore a white T-shirt pulled up to cover his face, jeans and what appeared to be a light-colored bandanna with small, dark-colored designs.
