More than 100 port supporters rallied outside the College of Charleston's Physician's Auditorium today at 5:30 p.m. in defense of the cruise industry.

Many held signs that read "Jobs not snobs" and underscored how important an active port is to the city.

By 6:15 p.m. about half the seats in Physician's Auditorium already were filled, many by port supporters, waiting for the 7 p.m. forum to begin.

If the room fills up, people can still follow the forum on the Internet thanks to a livestream on Historic Charleston Foundation's website:

The forum is expect to last about 2 hours.
