Trump announces more S.C. hires

New York real estate mogul Donald Trump has added staff in South Carolina for his likely GOP run for president.

Jeff Taillon will serve as state political director, and Gerri McDaniel will serve as field director for the Donald J. Trump Presidential Exploratory Committee.

Taillon previously served as campaign manager for Henry McMaster for Lt. Governor 2014, and was director of advance work for Gov. Nikki Haley’s office.

McDaniel previously served as Newt Gingrich’s 2012 presidential campaign field director for the 7th Congressional District. She is co-founder of the Myrtle Beach Tea Party.

Trump will be in Greenville on Saturday at the South Carolina Freedom Summit.
