Texas Gov. Rick Perry headlining South Carolina GOP fundraiser before USC-Texas A&M game

He will be speaking Wednesday, Aug. 27 at a GOP fundraiser in Columbia.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a potential 2016 candidate for president, will appear at a Republican fundrasier the night before Texas A&M's Aggies take on the Carolina Gamecocks next week, according to a story posted on The State's website.

Perry, who had already planned to come to Columbia for the Southeastern Conference season opener, will attend what the state party is calling a "Victory Tailgate" at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, in the First Citizens Cafe on Main Street.
