Charleston County voters unsure about how they will vote on local races this fall may want to attend one or more voter forums behind held next month.

The Charleston Area League of Women Voters have scheduled four nonpartisan forums and invited all candidates seeking the different seats.

The forums will all begin at 7 p.m. and will take place at the following dates and places:

Oct. 15: at Old St. Andrew’s Parish Church with the candidates for Charleston County Council District 6 and the S.C. House District 114 races.

Oct. 17: at North Charleston City Hall with candidates for the Charleston County Consolidated School Board.

Oct. 22: at Northwoods Park Community Center with candidates for Charleston County Council District 6.

Oct. 24: at North Charleston City Hall with candidates for the 1st Congressional District and for the Charleston County auditor post.

Those unable to attend the forums may watch them streamed live www.lwvcharleston.org or on Comcast channel 60 after the event.

The league said it had hoped to schedule forums in the S.C. House 115 and S.C. Senate 41 races, but its nonpartisan policy does not allow a forum if one of the two candidates won’t commit to showing up, said Julie Hussey, president of the League of Women Voters of the Charleston Area.
