The Southeastern Institute for Women in Politics has announced a series of training sessions to help women advance in politics.
The institute will hold a training school March 26 in Charleston.
"Are You Ready to Run?" sessions aim to help women answer questions about entering politics and will help them learn about offices to run for and how to raise money.
South Carolina has the lowest percentage of women serving in the Legislature and its 46-member Senate has no women.
The training is 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Charleston School of Law Chase Building, 414 King St. The $45 fee includes lunch and training materials. Scholarships are available.
Other sessions will be held March 5 in Rock Hill, March 12 in Columbia and April 30 in Greenville.
