U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, (R-S.C.) will be among the speakers next weekend at a conservative, pro-family summit in Iowa, according to a story posted today on The Iowa Republican website.

The story previews the Aug. 9 FAMiLY Leader's Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa. Among other speakers, the summit features five potential 2016 presidential candidates, including the past two winners of the Iowa Caucuses, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum.

In a primer about the speakers, the story starts with Scott, the junior senator from South Carolina, who is running for reelection in November.

"Scott is a personable and engaging figure," the story says. "Attendees might be coming to see some presidential candidates, but I wouldn't be surprised if people walk away from the event talking about Senator Scott."
