NORTH CHARLESTON – Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum addressed a packed house at the Cathedral of Praise on Saturday night, speaking for more than an hour about intimate family stories and about his work banning partial birth abortion.

The talk at the non-denominational mega-church came the same day the Republican presidential contender won the support of more than 150 influential evangelical leaders who met in Texas Friday and Saturday.

With just a week before the primary, Santorum is not the only candidate courting evangelical voters, considered a key voting bloc here.

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is scheduled to speak at the church tomorrow morning.
