Charleston County RoadWise will hold a job fair tonight in North Charleston, where residents can learn about opportunities to work on upcoming road construction projects.

Contractors who have been hired for several jobs are expected to need dozens of workers, mostly for manual-labor positions, such as flagging traffic and spreading asphalt.

RoadWise is the Charleston County program in charge of transportation improvements funded by the half-cent sales tax. The job fair will be at 6 p.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 2005 Reynolds Ave., and is expected to last about 90 minutes.
