Nikki Haley’s 2009 vote as a legislator helped a lawmaker’s spouse become judge

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Gov. Nikki Haley, who on Wednesday chastised lawmakers who voted to appoint a Democratic state representative’s husband as a judge, was on Thurday defending a 2009 vote she made as a legislator that enabled a Republican representative’s wife to get a seat on the state Supreme Court, according to a story posted on The (Columbia) State’s website.
