S.C. Governor Nikki Haley on Tuesday said she is opposed to the state lending any more money to S.C. State University until the cash-strapped school hires financial consultants, according to a story posted today on The State's website.
A special committee appointed by the state legislature has recommended lending an additional $12 million to the school, according to the story. In May and June, S.C. State received a $6 million loan from the S.C. Budget and Control Board, led by Haley, A condition of that loan was that the school hire a financial consultant.
