Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley sending staff to assist Vincent Sheheen, Bakari Sellers

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is dispatching political staffers to work on two key races in South Carolina this fall, according to a post today on CNN's Political Ticker blog.

According to the post, O'Malley, who is looking to build support for a possible 2016 presidential bid, is sending four staffers to the Palmetto State,. They will work on the gubernatorial campaign of Vincent Sheheen and the lieutenant governor campaign of Bakari Sellers. Sheheen is mounting a repeat bid against South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, and Sellers, a state legislator, is considered a rising African-American star in the Democratic Party, the blog post said.
