The state will need 18,000 poll managers to work during the June 8 primary elections and during the general election Nov. 2.

To become a poll manager, call the local county election office.

Also, The Palmetto Project, a nonprofit and nonpartisan advocacy group, wants to sign up 300 college-age poll managers through its S.C. Young Voters Initiative.
