Graham talks presidential run, war and national security

If Lindsey Graham runs for president, expect a message similar to the one that helped him fend off the tea party this past summer, emphasizing a bipartisan form of conservatism “that can solve problems” and a “peace-through-strength” approach to national security, according to a story posted on The Greenville News’ website,

South Carolina’s senior senator is also ready to argue that America should go to war in the Middle East again if that’s what it takes to defeat the Islamic State.

Talking to reporters this morning at the South Carolina National Guard’s new helicopter base in southern Greenville County, Graham said the violent jihadists that have seized large swathes of Syria and Iraq won’t be defeated without ground troops.
