Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich will campaign here Tuesday and Wednesday and is scheduled to appear at town hall meeting from 7:30-9 p.m. at North Charleston City Hall.
Those who show up also can remain afterward and watch Gingrich be interviewed live on FOX News’ "The Sean Hannity Show."
The Charleston Tea Party is organizing the town hall, which is free and open to the public.
The group hopes to host similar events for all GOP presidential contenders before South Carolina’s First-in-the-South primary early next year.
Gingrich also is set to do radio interviews on Charleston area stations earlier Tuesday, and he will address the summer meeting of the South Carolina electric cooperative at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Charleston Place, 205 Meeting St.
