COLUMBIA, S.C. — Former U.S. Sen. Jim DeMint expressed support for Gov. Nikki Haley’s recently announced gas tax and income tax reform plan, calling it “a great step forward” that could make the state more economically competitive, according to a story posted on The State’s website.
