DSS releases details of settlement with HP

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Hewlett-Packard Corp. has agreed to pay the state $44 million, and South Carolina has agreed to pay HP $5 million to settle litigation related to a long-delayed computer project for child support enforcement that has thus far incurred more than $100 million in federal penalties, according to a story on The Greenville News’ website.

The state Department of Social Services released the details of the agreement Tuesday almost four months after both parties agreed to a settlement of the dispute in principle.
