Ashton Moore's 14-foot jumper rimmed out at the buzzer, and The Citadel dropped a 73-72 decision in overtime to Georgia Southern tonight at McAlistert Field House.

The Citadel lost its 10th straight basketball game to fall to 4-21 overall and 1-13 in the Southern Conference. Georgia Southern is 13-12 and 11-4.

Moore scored 24 points, and The Citadel scored the final eight points of regulation to force overtime at 69-69, with Bo Holston's fastbreak dunk tying the score with 16 seconds left.

In OT, the Bulldogs took a 72-69 lead before Eagles guard Willie Powers scored twice for a 73-72 lead. After a timeout with 25 seconds left, Moore drove the lane and fired up a fall-away jumper from just inside the foul line. The ball went halfway down before bouncing off the rim and poppping out.
