COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina supporters are getting ready for the official launch of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

While Clinton enters the campaign with a speech late Saturday morning at Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island, New York, her campaign says supporters will gather in Greenville, Charleston and Columbia to watch her remarks live.

Later in the day, there are more than two dozen campaign house parties scheduled throughout the state.

Officials say Clinton will be attending a launch day house party herself in Iowa.

Since she announced her candidacy, Clinton’s South Carolina campaign has held more than a hundred grassroots event and several dozen phone banks.
