Can a South Carolina politician make a comeback after having served federal jail time for cocaine possession?

If U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham wins the June 10 GOP primary, we are likely to find out, because former state treasurer Thomas Ravenel has said he will run against Graham as an independent.

Ravenel just wrapped up the first season of Bravo TV's "Southern Charm" reality show.

An article posted Monday on suggests Ravenel may be following a model set by U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wisconsin, who ran for and won his seat after having starred in another reality show, "Real World."
