Canning how-to: Clemson Extension Service is offering classes in Home Food Preservation. Current USDA practices will be taught through lecture and hands-on experiences. Big Chef, Little Chef: Lowcountry chefs are coming together to help Louie's Kids fight childhood obesity with the third annual Piggly Wiggly Big Chef Little Chef Competition 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday at Lowndes Grove Plantation. Ten "little chef" contestants from Louie's Kids will be paired with "big chefs" as part of a friendly cooking competition. Guests and special judges will have their chance to taste the collaborative creations and vote on the winning team.
