Lowcountry Paws partnered with South Carolina Federal Credit Union for a BFF (Best Furry Friend) photo contest in May. The contest netted more than 550 photographs of Lowcountry dogs and cats, as well as a few bunnies and one chicken. Check out all the contest participants here. 

Pups and people enjoyed a springtime happy hour at the Charleston RiverDogs' Bark for Your Brew held May 6 at the Joe. Sponsored by our friends at Dolittle's, the day included craft beer samplings, a pup parade and adoptable pets. We enjoyed the sun and our photo booth with old and new friends. 

Equine ownership requires serious time and financial commitments. For Lowcountry residents who aren't ready to make that leap, local farms offer of other options, including leasing a horse. One option is Eden Wind Farm on Johns Island, which introduces children to horses with a “Horse Buddy”…
