GREENVILLE — A Pelzer man has been arrested after authorities say he pushed and slapped a firefighter trying to help him after a car wreck.

Greenville County deputies say 28-year-old Kenneth Henderson was arrested Tuesday night and charged with third-degree assault and battery.

Authorities say Henderson shoved the firefighter twice and slapped him across the face.

The firefighter did not need medical attention. An incident report says Henderson had been drinking before the arrest, and there were no other details about the wreck.

Henderson was in the Greenville County jail Wednesday on more than $1,000 bond. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.
