Once in a while we see a glimmer of light or good amid the failures and greed in high places (Post and Courier, May 10). Michael Crosby seems to be just that within Santee Cooper. It is refreshing that someone tried to call a halt to the massive bonuses paid at SCE&G/SCANA. It’s too bad he was squashed like a bug.

And guess what? This sort of thing goes on all the time. Too few people at the top, especially in government, make the best interests of their constituents a priority.

Nobody cares what it costs us, the little people. We are manipulated for our vote. So pay attention this election season. We do have a choice, and it starts in the June primary.
