The stories about Brian Williams’ recall of events seem to miss a fundamental point when they mislabel him as a newsman or a journalist.
He is neither and has no experience in newspaper work. Rather, he is an infotainer, more concerned with ratings than with truth or accuracy. From this perspective his story is of a piece with his actual profession.
This may be the assessment of a cranky old man, but I believe my mistrust of video “journalism” has simply been confirmed by his misrepresentations.
