The Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus is billed as “the greatest show on earth.” It certainly lived up to that reputation; it even made elephants disappear.
For the opening night show I purchased $35 tickets and convinced my husband to attend with me since it would be the last chance for local audiences to see its herd of Asian elephants before they’re permanently retired. At intermission, I told my husband the elephant performance would probably be held last since it was the centerpiece attraction.
Alas, the show ended and no elephants. I was deeply disappointed not to see the elephants as were people around me. Oh, where, oh, where did the elephants go?
