Recently, Wayne Ackerman Drive was opened, linking Ladson Road to Dorchester Road in the Summerville/Ladson area. This 1.1-mile stretch had been in the works for almost three years.
Why does it take so long for a 1.1-mile stretch of road to be built? By the same token, why is it taking more than two years for the future loop extension project at Ingleside in North Charleston? That is enough of a delay that Bass Pro, originally to open by the end of 2015, may delay the opening until next year.
The money has already been allocated? Get it done, already.
