Kathleen Parker’s March 13 column makes me think Democrats are much smarter than Republicans and know much more about what’s best for our country. But don’t lose faith, my fellow Republicans. Her ranting about Donald Trump and his supporters is not aimed at us, but the 10 percent to 15 percent of folks who are undecided. We could have the pope as the Republican candidate and the rhetoric would be the same.

We are not getting Ms. Parker’s support regardless of our candidate. Her opinion does not matter. The Democrats are getting 40 percent to 45 percent of the vote, period. They could nominate a socialist and still get that many votes.

My point is, don’t let her and others like her make you lose faith. The fact that they are so outraged is good. We must be doing something right.

Please, my fellow Republicans, stay the course. Regardless of who we nominate, our country cannot afford four more years of Democrats in charge.
