I want to send a big thank you to all the folks at the VA Hospital in Charleston. From the time my father-in-law was diagnosed with a very serious illness at the beginning of August 2014, our family has been overwhelmed by the care and compassion from everyone at this wonderful facility — the various clinics, labs, emergency room and staff during his recent two-week stay.
It has been apparent that this hospital is here to serve our veterans with dignity and honor.
We recently checked my father-in-law out, and on the wing where he was staying on the 4th floor, there was a sign that read: “4B North —Where the Stars Shine Bright.”
The folks on this floor do indeed shine in more ways than one, but I know firsthand that this spirit of service shines bright on all the floors.
I know I speak for many when I say, “Well done, our good and faithful servants.”
