We are doing well creating memorials and helping victims and families financially after gun violence. We’ve had lots of practice recently. But we’re not doing so well in controlling the availability of handguns.
We can continue to teach communities and individuals to be responsible citizens and take care of those with mental illness. We can teach morality and ethics, right from wrong; but we can’t mandate it.
We can control the accessibility of guns. Only in this “free” country is murder so acceptable.
