Good news: Charleston city and county planners just announced that improvements will be made to the intersection at Folly Road and Camp Road in an effort to ease the gridlock that exists throughout the Folly Road corridor on a daily basis.

Bad news: These same city and county planners just announced, that about three miles inland, they will close one lane of this major artery running into the city.

So we’re trying to alleviate gridlock by creating additional gridlock? This whole scheme defies logic.
